Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Virginia.

Job Summary

  • In this role you will focus on evaluating the effectiveness of security systems and processes across the company and developing and deploying any required remediation. Responsibilities include providing security advisory and consulting to business developers, system designs, and engineers; developing and implementing security assessment plans across the major public cloud services - Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, O365; and supporting monitoring and response tools (e.g., Qualys, App Scan, White Hat, and Varonis).
  • Coordinates and executes security risk assessments and control testing on operating systems, networks, databases, middleware, web applications and other technologies and/or devices and assessing compliance with cyber-security policies and standards.
  • Responsible for providing expertise in the areas of compliance and IT Security audit risk management.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist with monitoring information security issues related to MUFG systems and workflows to ensure internal security controls are appropriate and configured/ implemented/ operating as per standards and policies.
  • Conducts cyber risk assessments for systems, applications and database hosted on on-premise, Hybrid and multi-cloud environments (ex. AWS, Azure, Microsoft O365)
  • Evaluates results of security service and control implementation such as vulnerability scan, policy compliance, penetration testing, identity and access management and security configuration for cloud services.
  • Responsible for risk assessment and resolution follow-up to assure compliance with applicable internal, regulatory, and legal requirements and cyber security policies and standards
  • Performs independent review and challenge of the front line unit cyber security assessments and remediation plans
  • Tracks and reports on the front line unit remediation efforts for cyber security exposures, gaps, and deficiencies


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required
  • 5-6 years of progressive experience in computing and information security, including experience with Internet technology and security issues related to the major public cloud services - Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Microsoft O365
  • Experience in the banking or finance industries preferred
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), AWS Security Specialty, Microsoft Azure/ 365 Security, Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), or other security certifications desired
  • Knowledge of information security standards, rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality, and desktop, server, application, database, network security principles for risk identification and analysis
  • Experience in security policy development, security education, network testing, application vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and compliance testing required
