Job Summary:

Reporting to the Core Compliance Testing Standards Manager you will supporting the Americas Compliance Testing Program for MUFG Americas (banking offices located in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Latin America).   Responsibilities include supporting the quality assurance function and training program for the team.

The quality assurance function is comprised of reviewing and critiquing testing workpaper documentation to assess whether Testing Program Standards are met and ensure a strong degree of standardization across the teams that produce tests.  The training function is primarily responsible for identifying training needs and organizing training to ensure testing teams are educated on testing standards.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Execute independent quality assurance reviews on tests completed by team members to assess whether all required and pertinent detail has been documented in accordance with the Americas Compliance Testing Program and timelines set forth in the Annual Test Plan.  Maintain appropriate routines to report results to the Core Compliance Testing Standards Manager and the respective Test Managers or Test Leads to ensure test documentation is updated accordingly.  Analyze trends and identify opportunities to strengthen workpaper standards and quality assurance reviews.

  • In partnership with the Core Compliance Testing Standards Manager, maintain a training program for the testing team to reinforce standards and key principles of testing.  Assess training needs and map out development plans for teams and individuals.  Create topical training materials.  Design and organize training.

  • Other projects as assigned, which primarily relate to supporting the general operations of the Testing Standards team.

Requirements:

  • 2 – 5 years of general compliance, risk management and/or audit/testing-related experience

  • General understanding of U.S. banking laws and regulations
  • Experience designing training programs and/or coordinating and conducting training

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in collaborative team environments involving all levels of management and employees

  • Strong documentation, writing, and communication skills to articulate information clearly and effectively

  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining the highest quality

  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, relevant software or database programs

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or professional certification are a plus.
