Job Summary:

The Marketing Associate will be responsible for managing local and virtual event marketing and collateral materials; assisting with the development and execution of content marketing programs and assisting with execution of marketing assets associated with lead generation and awareness campaigns for The Commercial Bank and Wealth Markets.  The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail and accuracy, excellent written communication skills, proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to quickly assess and shift priorities across multiple projects as needed.   

Location: Oakland/Los Angeles/Flexible

Specific Responsibilities Related to Local and Virtual Event Marketing:

  • Create and maintain sponsorship calendar including budget, event dates and associated sponsorship deliverables ranging from print ads to digital ad units and company boilerplate
  • Manage ad-hoc requests for local sponsorship ads from sales teams, including working with agency to create ad, manage approvals, and handle invoicing
  • Create and maintain virtual event marketing calendar, including event dates and associated marketing
  • Lead the development of all sponsorship and event support materials including but not limited to print ads, digital units, company boilerplate, event invitations, social media assets, and call flows and scripting as needed; Manage all related compliance reviews
  • Oversee all centralized email communications regarding Events including collaboration with email marketing team on client invitations, follow-up surveys, etc. and managing approvals
  • Assist line of business with Event invitation list management
  • Work with email and events teams to consolidate invitation email and attendance results and deliver post-event reporting to senior leadership on monthly basis

Specific Responsibilities Related to Collateral and Content Marketing:

  • Assist with the development of new Collateral materials; Manage required edits and annual compliance reviews
  • Assist with the development and management of the content and event marketing calendar
  • Manage SME and compliance reviews of all content
  • Assist with the deployment of content assets across a variety of marketing channels

Specific Responsibilities Related to Marketing Campaign Assets Execution

  • Collaborate with agency partners on timelines to ensure asset delivery deadlines are met; manage privacy and compliance approvals, including but not limited to opening job #’s, routing creative and media assets
  • Partner with web analytics and digital and agency teams to develop campaign reporting for senior management
  • Develop internal communications as needed
  • Manage annual CATS reviews, including refreshes to creative when required
  • Conduct image searches for on and offline marketing use
  • Maintain detailed written article/content and image library

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism or related field preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of marketing and/or related communications experience; Financial services experience preferred
  • Experience writing for the web/social media and other online mediums to drive effective marketing campaigns
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Strong editing, proofreading, interviewing and research skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced/deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines and priorities
  • A keen eye for details and data
  • Strong initiative and follow through
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills including ability to interact with Senior Leaders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
