We are seeking high achieving candidates who are intellectually curious, highly- motivated and have demonstrated a consistently elevated level of performance in academic and leadership endeavors. Demonstrating strong analytical and quantitative skills, individuals who work well in a collaborative environment are vital to driving our business forward.
At MUFG, we strive to create an inclusive environment, where everyone’s perspective is valued. We are committed to diversity and inclusion in our workforce – all students are welcome to apply.
On-the-Job Experience: Our 6-week Corporate, Investment Banking & Markets (CIB&M) Sophomore Summer Analyst Program is more than just a fascinating insight into MUFG: it is an opportunity to build the foundation for a long, rewarding career.
Our program begins in early June and provides rising juniors the opportunity to grow their business and financial acumen through hands on experience. You will gain exposure to a range of financial products, services, and structured solutions serving the full spectrum of clients, from multi-national corporations to institutional investors and financial sponsors.
You will work in our New York office alongside MUFG professionals at all levels who will serve as your instructors and mentors. Our Sophomore Summer Analysts will be exposed to real life transactions, assisting in the execution and the financing of complex deals, learning the steps to conduct financial analysis, valuation and modelling, and offer support to deal teams preparing for client pitches.
Our program is designed to help expand your knowledge of MUFG’s key products and services, and to give you the tools to explore whether a career within a global financial organization is right for you. At the end of the internship candidates may also be eligible to be invited to join MUFG's Corporate, Investment Banking & Markets Summer Analyst Program the following summer.
Training: The program will include both formal technical classroom and ‘on the job’ training. You will also benefit from working alongside experienced colleagues on meaningful projects and will receive continuing on-the-job training throughout the 6-week program.
Support & Guidance: Our team is committed to your success and will pair you with a mentor/manager who will work with you to set goals, assign you to critical projects and will support you in meeting your deliverables. You will also have many opportunities to network with peers, mentors and senior managers through planned program events.
In our open and inclusive environment, senior colleagues will know who you are and will see how your work impacts our high-performance culture. At the end of the program, you will leave with a better understanding of global banking/finance and an insider’s perspective that you'll only acquire from serving multi-national clients with complex financial needs.
A mix of Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, and Global Markets teams will participate in the program. Take a look at our placement groups at the link below. Final program assignments will be communicated at program start.

Kevin Cronin, Regional Executive for the Americas
I'm so proud to have worked for a company that supports inclusion and diversity. It's not just a claim; I've witnessed it in practice.
Claire M., Corporate, Investment Banking & Markets Summer Analyst
One of the most meaningful aspects of my experience as a Summer Analyst was the willingness of leadership and colleagues to spend time sharing their career learnings with our cohort.
Arjun T., Financial Management Summer Analyst
My career at MUFG started as a Summer Analyst in the Global Cybersecurity Operations Center and I now work full time as an Analyst in the same unit, responding to cyber threats against the bank. From my time as a Summer Analyst to now, I have had the opportunity to work with multiple teams daily and learn from many talented colleagues along the way. The opportunity for continuous growth keeps me motivated and the work we do is very rewarding. These are just a few of the many reasons I'm proud to work for MUFG.
Laura L., Operations & Technology Summer Analyst
