Job Summary:

As a Operational Risk Analyst, you will support the Operational Risk Services team in the First Line of Defense by performing activities for the Sales Practices Program, including quality control, monitoring and reporting related to sales practices risks across the Bank. In addition, you'll participate in assessing, tracking and reporting results of various risk management activities and Special Project coordination as the need arises.

Major Responsibilities:

Sales Practices Program Governance

  • Primary areas of focus: First Line of Defense Operational Risk – Sales Practices

  • Performing quality control review of monthly reporting and conducting annual logic inspections to ensure accuracy of data.

  • Compiling and submitted required metric data and data analysis commentary.

  • Tracking and monitoring internal projects related to Sales Practices risk.

  • Documenting internal procedures.

  • Participating on ad-hoc working groups to address and resolve new areas of risk within the business areas of responsibility, as requested.

  • Preparing, formatting and editing executive presentations.

  • Documenting meeting minutes.

  • Ad-hoc or special project management responsibilities.

  • Representing the Operational Risk Services team on committees related to Sales Practices risks, as requested.


  • Typically, we require a bachelor’s degree.

  • 5+ years of experience in operational risk or other risk management functions within a financial institution.

  • Excellent organizational and communication (both oral and written) skills.

  • Highly proficient with SharePoint, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio

  • Experience with a broad range of reporting tools is helpful (e.g., Business Objects).

  • Flexible and able to balance several priorities at once.

  • Strong analytical skills and good judgment to resolve issues and facilitate progress against objectives.

  • Experience in financial institutions and finance organizations.
