Job Summary
As a senior platform engineer at MUFG, you will work at Technology Infrastructure and Operations (TIO) along with Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), Enterprise Information Security (EIS) and Risk and Control Office to build Kubernetes or OpenShift based container Platform. Container platform is part of MUFG Platform as a Service (PaaS). You will help us roll out container platform capabilities, using software engineering, Security Engineering, system reliability engineering (SRE) and open-source software (OSS) for better application development experience and platform operations. You will also work with our application and infrastructure teams to architect, design and implement solutions, and your expertise in detailed technical design and development of system using emerging technology platforms will help lead MUFG towards true technology transformation
Responsibilities

  • Design and development of Kubernetes or OpenShift based container platform

  • Ensure the highest levels of platform and infrastructure availability

  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies

  • Provide second and third level support

  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and provides technical direction to IT support staff

  • Plans and implements system automation as required

Qualifications:

  • B.S Computer Science or other advanced degree in a related field

  • Experience with .NET applications.

  • Have 5+ year experience in middleware deployment and administration, systems engineering, ideally including modern scripting languages, infrastructure as code, Cloud and operations automation

  • Have 2+ year experience in Kubernetes or OpenShift deployment and operations, application containerization for Docker container

  • Have 3+ year experience in application development, ideally including .NET or Python, DevSecOps

  • Experience in the banking or finance industries preferred

  • Experience in Kubernetes or OpenShift deployment, and application containerization for Docker

  • Experience in application server middleware (e.g. JBoss, Tomcat, Apache) deployment and administration, application perform tuning and software engineering by .net or Python, DevSecOps

  • Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet or Ansible, or Terraform)

  • Experience in systems engineering, ideally including modern scripting languages, infrastructure as code, Cloud and operations automation

The typical base pay range for this role is between $127K - $154K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
