In this role you will focus on implementing processes to ensure the achievement of technology project objectives, exclusively within the software development life cycle (SDLC). Responsibilities include creating project and resource plans that align with budget allocation and project/program milestones; assisting in requirements documentation, documenting and driving underlying tasks and assignments to complete project deliverables on schedule; closing a project, including budget reconciliation; and, for technical projects following a waterfall or other methodologies (as needed), coordinating development, testing and implementation activities.
Provide hands-on technology project management and documentation to support technology projects
Drive planning at the various organizational levels to ensure projects are on track/resourced
Establish project governance and communication with stakeholders
Ensure timetable and deliverable schedules are understood and communicated
Manage dependencies proactively, coordinate across teams to resolve issues and mitigate risks
Contribute to executive level updates on strategy, budget, project delivery, controls, risks, etc.
Organize required reporting for business and technology management review sessions
Track financials related to technology expenditures including software, hardware, and resource allocation
Qualifications:
B.S. in Business, Technology or Accounting
Project Management Professional (PMP) or other equivalent PM certifications preferred
5-8 years' experience managing and delivering end to end technology projects
Experience within a technology organization in the financial services industry is preferred
Experience in working and delivering Financial Crimes (Sanctions/AML/KYC) systems and processes is preferred
Experience tracking projects and tasks through Jira/Confluence or other tracking tools.
Experience in drafting, socializing and communicating project status, risks and issues.
Experience in usage MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS Project.
Must be hands-on with project documentation for planning, test approach, and log, and proactive in closing open risk / issue / dependency items
Understanding of MSP and alert management systems
Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals and the SDLC
Excellent communication skills, and the ability to articulate complex issues concisely
Excellent organizational skills
Good consensus builder: ability to report to middle management as required
Ability to work across organizations and through obstacles
Detail-oriented and experienced in working with a small-medium to large size project (10-50 stakeholders)
Pro-active, collaborative and driven individual who can drive the project team forward to achieve common goals
Problem solver and solution oriented individual, who is not afraid to think outside the box and provide ideas / innovative solutions
The typical base pay range for this role is between $90K – $115K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
